Your photos

Cutis can show your recent photos inside the app, so you can tap one to edit. That needs your permission, and it's optional: choose "Not now" and Cutis opens Apple's photo picker instead, which shows Cutis only the one photo you choose. You can also take a new photo with the camera, with your permission; it goes straight into your edit.

Either way, all retouching happens on your device. Your photos are never sent to us or to anyone else, and we have no servers that could receive them.

When you save an edit, Cutis adds a new copy to your Photos library, asking for permission to add photos if it doesn't have it. Your original photo is never changed.

Faces and skin

To retouch a photo, Cutis finds the faces and the skin in it, using models that run on your device. This information is used only to make the edit you asked for. It is never uploaded, shared, sold, used for advertising, or used to identify anyone. Cutis does not recognize who a person is.

Your edits

So you can come back and keep editing, Cutis keeps your edits in its own storage on your iPhone: the photo you chose, your settings and small previews. Like other app data, this storage is included in your device backups (iCloud or computer) if you have them turned on.

You can delete your edits at any time in Settings > Clear saved edits. Deleting the app deletes them too. Photos you already saved to your library stay there.

What we collect

Nothing. Cutis has no account, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking and no third-party services that collect data. On the App Store, Cutis is labelled "Data Not Collected".

Purchases

Cutis Pro is sold through Apple. Payment, billing and subscription management are handled by Apple under Apple's Privacy Policy. We do not receive your name, email or payment details. Apple gives developers only anonymous, aggregated sales reports.

If you write to us

If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to write. We use it only to reply to you and delete it when it's no longer needed. Please don't send photos unless you want to; we never need them.

Children

Cutis is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone, of any age.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update it on this page and change the date at the top. If a change ever affects how your data is handled, we'll say so in the app before it applies.
